In 2014 parliamentary general elections, the BJP candidate from Kaiserganj parliamentary seat, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh had led over his nearest SP rival Pandit Singh by a narrow margin of 1337 votes in the Kaiserganj assembly segment.
